Homeless Memorial Services
Once again, Knoxville will observe Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day. A candlelight walk and memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21,to remember homeless neighbors who died in 2011. It will be at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 544 N. Broadway.The memorial day is observed every year around the country on Dec. 21, the longest night of the year.
